Legacy and Evolution

The Beck family name has been well known in Brantford since 1957 when Maurice Beck established “Beck’s Business Service.” A basic typing provider at its inception, Beck’s evolved into one of the area’s best-known full office overload services of the time. The company expanded in 1973, becoming “Beck’s Printing Services.” Steady growth has made it one of Brant County’s most reputable full service print shops with a commitment to the most updated trends and equipment to meet its customers’ needs. Beck’s full-service production area and skilled, experienced staff can handle all printing needs, large or small.

FAQs

The most common file types of files are Press ready PDF or Adobe Illustrator files , however we do accept several other types. Give us a call before you send the files, and we can make sure everything is good.

RGB refers to Red , Green , Blue is mostly used for web based production. CMYK, refers to cyan, magenta, yellow and black. Most forms of printing are done this way unless a spot colour is needed. It is always best to call or email before to make sure we have what will work best for your project.

This is a common question and the best way to ensure you have what is best for your project is to reach out and we will be happy to make suggestions. There are several types of specialty stock available as well.

We are always happy to produce proofs at no charge to the customer. It is the best way to ensure your product will look the way you imagined.

Depending on the complexity of the project lead times will vary. Always check before we start to let us know when it is needed as we always to achieve your required date.

We are always to happy help with your design reach out and we would love to discuss your project.

Yes, as with all jobs we try to meet your needs. In some cases, a rush fee will be required.

Yes, we are always happy to work with you to find the best solution based on your project requirments.

There are several differences between the two. If you look on our  page, you can see a description of what is the best process for your project.

Yes, At becks we offer a wide variety of custom finishing. If your project requires a special touch give us a call and we will be happy to go over the option.

Samples are available upon request, but inmost cases will come a sur charge. If the project becomes a production, this can be removed if applicable.

Master Card / Visa / Debit are the most common forms of payment that we accept. We don’t accept American Express.

We always stive to meet and exceed your exceptions if for some reason your project is not acceptable, we would be happy discuss reprints.

We offer free local delivery for the Brantford area. We can provide shipping worldwide if required.

We love seeing our clients’ happy faces so in store pick up is always available during regular working hours.

With over 30 years of experience in the printing Industry, Ian has developed a vast knowledge base in many areas of print. By working alongside of his father and founder of Beck’s Printing Services, Dave Beck, and through the development of partnerships and contacts with industry leaders, Ian can provide you with the guidance you need to complete you print project from start to finish. Ian started at Beck’s Printing at 8 years age completing simple bindery tasks, and now helps some of the area’s largest companies to meet and exceed there printing needs. As the current owner and president, Ian’s dedication and commitment to the print industry has only grown. He understands the importance of staying up to date with current trends and adapting his services to best serve his clients in the digital world. Read More

I was born and raised in Brantford. I attended Fanshawe College in London. I have been married for 22 1/2 years to my husband Mike and have 2 wonderful daughters, Madisen and Lauren. In my personal time I enjoy travelling (especially to hot places in the winter), gardening, reading, exploring new places and trying new things, and spending time with my family.

At Beck’s Printing Services I am the Executive Administrator, which includes all front office ongoings. Accounting, Invoicing, Accounts Payable and Receivable, Payroll, Shipping, Customer Service and Relations, and also Red Cross Certified First Aid.

Production Manager
Jim has been working with Ian at Becks Printing Services since 2018 after a long career in the computer industry. With a focus on sales and service in the retail computer sector, he brought a skillset to Becks that has made him a natural fit. Customer service has always been Jim’s first and foremost concern, both with his previous endeavours and in his current work with Becks Printing Services. Happy customers are repeat customers, and Jim goes out of his way to make every experience at Becks a positive one. He handles many aspects of the print process, from customer communications and sales, to artwork, and production work to ensure orders are completed in a timely manner with an eye for detail and customer satisfaction. Jon Finnigan

Production

Jon has been working at Beck’s Printing for the past 6 years. Always involved with customer centred organizations, it was a natural progression for him to take on the task of production when he changed careers. From printing, cutting, laminating and binding – if you’ve had a job printed by Beck’s, he’s been a part of the process.

Customer satisfaction is his top priority. He knows every order is of the utmost importance to every client, and ensures even the smallest details aren’t overlooked.

When Jon’s not at the office, you can find him with his wife and two children, either on their farm or shuttling the kids to an extracurricular activity.
